Red Ribbon Week is a national event that promotes drug awareness and prevention each year. At Lewis, it is a special time for our students, staff, parents, and community to commit themselves to leading a healthy and drug free life, and to present a unified and visible representation of that commitment. The following themes and activities have been planned for each day of the week. We hope you will join us in celebrating and modeling healthy choices! Each day, the class with the highest participation in each grade level will have their picture featured on the morning news! MONDAY – Be Your Own Superhero! Wear your favorite superhero T-shirt or cape today. TUESDAY – It’s crazy to do drugs! – Wear crazy hair to show we are crazy about making healthy choices! WEDNESDAY — Drug Free Wednesday! – Wear RED today and pledge to live the healthy way! THURSDAY – Let’s sock it to drugs! – Wear your silliest socks to school today. FRIDAY – Join the TEAM against drugs! – Wear your favorite team shirt or jersey. Next week will be BUSY at Lewis! October 14th through the 18th is Conference Week!
